Few days ago we were able to enjoy thanks to Centre Porsche Andorra -Prestigi Automòbils- the new Porsche Panamera 4S.

Although its design resembles its predecessor, it can be assured that it is a completely different vehicle, with a new chassis, new engines and more comfort and safety equipment.

The exposed unit, which we had the opportunity to observe carefully, was the 4S version (5.05 m), with a five-door body and a passenger compartment for four people.

The Panamera 4S is equipped with a 2.9 liter V6 twin-turbo engine that develops 441 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic double clutch gearbox (PDK). It’s surprising the low power consumption of such powerful engine, with only 8.2l / km.

The interior is really luxurious and spacious, without losing the sportiness characteristic of Porsche. In this sense, the instrumentation is formed by a classic central rev counter of needle and two screens of 7 inches, one on each side of the rev counter. In the middle of the console, we find another touch screen that measures 12.3 inches.

The gear lever is located between the front seats, and around it there is a touch surface with numerous icons that when pressed with the finger perform various functions.

The steering wheel is inherited from the 918 Spyder, and is possible to  fit its distinctive rotary knob to change the response parameters of the engine, transmission and suspension. There are three modes – Normal, Sport and Sport Plus – plus one called Individual that allows you to adjust each component separately. In addition, in the center of the rotary control there is a button that, when pressed, prepares the propulsion system and the suspension to give the maximum possible performances for a few seconds.

We only need to try this version to confirm the feelings it transmits with the naked eye and convince us once again of the good work that Porsche engineers perform in each of their creations.
